Family Resource Network - Child and Youth Skill Development

Child and Youth Skill Development is a development program for children and youth aged 7-17 that require social skill building. The skill building and social connection opportunities are provided in either an individual or group environment for youth and children to have supportive and nurturing relationships to develop self-confidence, self-awareness, and self-esteem. The programming is evidence based with a focus on sessions that support critical - thinking skills, intellectual growth, and the development of identity. The youth will participate in weekly individual or group sessions, with curriculum and activities based on skill areas such as: managing anger and other emotions, friendship skills and body image and identity. Referrals can be from any source, including schools, counsellors, or parents.
